17 Mar 22 Reaction to P&O Ferries announcement The UK Chamber of Shipping has reacted to the news that P & O Ferries is due to cut jobs on some of its routes. A UK Chamber of Shipping spokesperson said:“The impact of Covid-19 on passenger ferry travel has been devastating with passenger numbers yet to recover to pre-pandemic levels. It is important for passengers, importers, exporters and crew that the long-term viability of ferry services is assured. We are monitoring the situation carefully, but everyone associated with the Chamber is conscious that this will be a concerning time for P&O staff and their families.” Share:
