This year, the UK Chamber of Shipping attended the Labour, Reform UK and Conservative Party conferences. Across the conferences, four themes stood out for shipping: the growing political focus on economic and national resilience; energy security and the cost of the transition; the need for faster infrastructure delivery; and renewed competition over how Britain supports investment, skills and trade.

Ensuring shipping remains resilient, competitive and internationally connected requires close engagement with governments and industry partners around the world.
