Mission to Seafarers
Day and night, The Mission to Seafarers is on call for seafarers in over 200 ports around the world. With over 90% of world trade carried by sea, providing work to 1.5 million seafarers, we offer much needed practical, emotional and spiritual support through ship-visits, our seafarers' centres and a range of welfare and emergency support services. All of which is made possible by through our global network of chaplains, staff and volunteers.
Our mission is to care for the shipping industry’s most important asset: its people. We are grateful for the constant acts of kindness that allow us, in turn, to serve the people that make sacrifices to keep our global economy afloat.

“Mission to Seafarers is delighted to see the Chamber of Shipping introduce a Charity category of membership. This will help us and other charities to have more profile within the organisation and develop more relationships with industry partners. We look forward to working with the Chamber in the coming months to promote what the Mission to Seafarers has planned for 2020”- Maurizio Borgatti, Head of Corporate Partnerships, The Mission to Seafarers
