Written in collaboration with international organisations and industry experts, ICS publications promote and support shipping industry best practices and provide world-leading guidance across all key sectors and trades of the maritime industry, including on subjects as diverse as security, safety, employment and the environment.

The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) is the global trade association for shipowners and operators, representing the world’s national shipowner associations and over 80% of the world merchant fleet. As a member of ICS, the UK Chamber of Shipping works in close consultation with ICS as joint advocates for the industry on all issues of international maritime affairs, shipping policy and technical matters.

Rigorous in development and regularly used and recommended by shipping companies globally, ICS publications are a practical complement to international regulations and are an essential tool for on board crew and shoreside teams to ensure compliance. Many ICS industry guides are required reading by companies and seafarers involved in maritime operations.

UK Chamber of Shipping members benefit from a 20% discount on ICS publications - more information is available in our members' area
