As part of National Careers Week, industry and Government have welcomed funding approval for a new, key, maritime apprenticeship, that will provide opportunities for apprenticeships with the UK Small vessel sector.

The Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB), part of the UK Chamber of Shipping, is proud to announce the release of an official trailer for the forthcoming Careers at Sea documentary titled 'A Sea of Opportunities: The Making of a UK Merchant Navy Cadet'.

Claire Hogan, a passionate and dedicated Careers at Sea Ambassador, has been named the winner of the Careers at Sea Ambassador of the Year Award for 2024. Claire was presented with the prestigious award by Graham Westgarth, at the UK Chamber of Shipping’s Annual Dinner last night, where she was honoured for her efforts in front of over 700 attendees.
