The UK Chamber of Shipping has responded to the publication of a new Maritime Decarbonisation Strategy for the UK maritime sector. The Strategy, announced by the Department for Transport on 25 March sets out the Government goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030, 80% by 2040 and to zero by 2050.

The UK Chamber of Shipping has released the following statement in response to the incident in the North Sea on the 10th of March involving the Stena Immaculate and the Solong, a vessel operating under the Portuguese flag.

As part of National Careers Week, industry and Government have welcomed funding approval for a new, key, maritime apprenticeship, that will provide opportunities for apprenticeships with the UK Small vessel sector.
