The UK Chamber of Shipping, in partnership with 15 National Shipowners’ Associations, invites you to a dedicated webinar on the upcoming Ballast Water Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) by the Paris and Tokyo MoUs.

This webinar has been organised by Asian Shipowners Association (ASA), ANAVE, Armateurs de France, Royal Belgian Shipowners' Association, Chamber of Marine Commerce - Canada, Danish Shipping, Finnish Shipowners Association, Hong Kong Shipowners Association, Japanese Shipowners Association, German Shipowners Association (VDR), Liberian Shipowners’ Council, Malta International Shipowners Association (MISA), Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, Singapore Shipping Association, Swedish Shipowners Association and UK Chamber of Shipping to increase awareness on the forthcoming Paris and Tokyo MOU Concentrated Campaign on Ballast Water for Shipowners/Ship operators and improve the uptake of Interim Ballast Challenge Quality Water Guidelines, new record book etc.

The webinar aims to improve the understanding and awareness of BWM Convention compliance (What can be achieved and challenges) focusing on the Port State Control Concentrated Campaign.

Speakers:

  • Nicholas D’Eusebio, Fleet Performance Compliance Engineer - RINA - Introduction, their experience from monitoring PSC, Class, Statutory survey; service for owners/operators, Improvements and suggestions for compliance;
  • Ranabir Chakravarty, Head of Port State Control Department – Singapore MPA - Discussion on the CIC checklist, experienced learned from PSC and any improvement and suggestions for compliance
  • Manoj Subramanian, Senior Marine Technical Advisor - ICS (International Chamber of Shipping) – Regulatory points of views and IMO progress, Experience and how to improve compliance;
  • Mahesh Subramanian, General Manager - AngloEastern - What they have done to improve compliance with D-2 Standard (in particular Challenge Quality Water, Record Books, System Maintenance – crew familiarisation with system and PSC preparation);
  • Francesco Sandrelli – UK Chamber of Shipping (Moderator)
