In an increasingly uncertain and unstable world where events in one nation or region often have global ramifications how we manage trade and trade deals is increasingly important.

James has been working as a business journalist for more than 25 years in his native New Zealand and the UK which he now calls home.
He is currently Container Shipping Editor for Lloyd’s List, covering container carriers, terminals, shippers and regulation, having been a specialist reporter and editor for Informa during the past two decades.

Laure Baratgin, Rio Tinto

Head of Commercial Operations
Laure is the Head of Commercial Operations for Rio Tinto, in charge of marine, chartering, logistics for our inbound/outbound flows, commercial services (back-office), digital and commercial HSE globally.

Laure started in 2001 with Rio Tinto to become an experienced mining and metal executive with strong commercial and operations knowledge. She worked across aluminium operational roles for ten years, before managing Aluminium and Copper commercial portfolios and representing Rio Tinto at several joint venture boards.

Laure holds an Executive MBA (INSEAD) and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.

Laure is based in Singapore, supported by teams in Singapore, Australia, China, Europe, the United States and Canada.
Steve Gordon

Steve Gordon, Clarksons Research

Managing Director
Steve Gordon was appointed the global head of Clarkson Research in 2012 and leads a dynamic team of 150 experts providing widely respected data and intelligence to the maritime sector. Besides continued analytical contributions, Steve has lead the launch or re-launch of offerings including Shipping Intelligence Network, World Fleet Register, Renewables Intelligence Network and Fuelling Transition besides managing over one hundred major consultancy projects. After graduating from Oxford University, Steve originally joined Clarksons as a shipbuilding analyst in 1999. Steve is also a Director of Clarksons Valuations.

Audrey Dolhen

Audrey Dolhen , CMA CGM

Head of the Europe Regional Office
Audrey Dolhen is the Head of the Europe Regional Office (ERO) based in London, a role covering all CMA CGM Agency business across 39 countries.
Audrey graduated with a Master's degree in International Trade and Transport in 2004, and started her career in London where she joined the Group in 2006 as Export Sales Manager CMA CGM UK. In 2011, she moved to India to take up the role of Commercial Director and in 2015, was promoted to General Manager CMA CGM India. In 2018, she was appointed Chief Commercial Director of CMA CGM China responsible for all business activities including business and marketing development, sales and customer service. She was Managing Director of CMA CGM UK from August 2021 to June 2022. She has been based in CMA CGM's head office in Marseille since June 2022, as Vice President Global Experience Network and moved back to London as Head of the ERO in August 2023
