Petar Modev, Head of Ship Inspections at the UK P&I Club, will deliver in full his presentation on patterns of incidents and analysis of repeat behaviours. Time constraints meant that Petar was not able to do so in Glasgow but, with his agreement and the overwhelming support of conference delegates, this webinar provides him with an alternative opportunity.

The question of why similar accident types continue to occur is key to the Chamber’s work to promote improvements in safety culture. Petar will show how the tendency of organisations to focus on quick fixes, rather than systemic cultural changes, means that important lessons are not being learned or embedded. His presentation is based on experience of post-incident investigations carried out by the UK club, which provides insurance for 6,752 ships representing 274m GT.
