Department for Transport Consultation – Domestic shipping air pollution: call for evidence from Towage Sector

The DfT is running a Call for Evidence seeking views on emissions from domestic shipping activity. The DfT objective is to, better understand emissions from the maritime sector and establish if government can do more to address emission issues. 

The Chamber has produced a towage specific version of the DfT Call for Evidence for consultation with members of the British Tugowners Association. 

The consultation period for this Call for Evidence will run until 11 January 2020.

Members are requested to respond to the attached document as completely as possible, either directly into the document or by separate electronic response by sendind them to Robert Merrylees, rmerrylees@ukchamberofshipping.com.

Members are requested to respond by 20 December 2019 to provide for sufficient time for collation of responses and submission.

The DfT will publish a summary of responses within three months of the close of the Call for Evidence.
