UK Chamber of Shipping announces new Director of Communications

The UK Chamber of Shipping is very pleased to confirm Tom Bartošák-Harlow as new Director of Communications, replacing Alistair Clifton.

Tom is currently Head of External Relations of the Confederation of Passenger Transport, the trade body for bus and coach operators across the UK.  Previously, Tom worked at the Country Land and Business Association and in Parliament. He graduated from the University of Hull with a master’s degree in European Politics.

Commenting on his appointment, Tom Bartošák-Harlow said:

“I’m delighted to be joining such a high profile and respected trade association. The UK shipping industry is vital to ensuring smooth supply chains here at home and across the world. I’m looking forward to getting to know more about the issues Chamber members face and helping the Chamber make a positive case for all the benefits the UK shipping industry delivers.” 

Announcing the appointment, UK Chamber of Shipping Chief Executive Sarah Treseder said: 

“Tom will be an outstanding addition to the Chamber team, at a time when excellent communications with our members and stakeholders has arguably never been more important. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, from the perspective of both a key trade body and relevant government departments.”
