Clyde Marine Training is a multi-award-winning business, recognised by a wide variety of industry bodies and awards programmes, and a significant proportion of our staff have a seafaring or training background.

“It is an honour for Clyde Marine Training to take over as headline sponsors of the UK Chamber of Shipping Summer Lunch, which has quickly become a fixture of the maritime industry calendar.

“It has been another fantastic year of progression for Clyde Marine Training, with record numbers of cadets being recruited as part of the last recruitment window in January/February 2019, and we believe this is evidence of the abiding appeal of a career at sea.

“We are also proud to announce partnerships with the Scottish Maritime Academy based in Peterhead, and the newly established Humber Maritime College, who will both receive their first intake of Deck and Engineering cadets respectively in September this year.

“We very much look forward to working with them and our long established college partners to continue producing the next generation of Merchant Navy Officers.”

For over 30 years Clyde Marine Training has been the first choice for those looking to pursue Merchant Navy careers. Managing approximately 1,000 cadets on behalf of numerous shipping companies across the globe.

These include some of the largest and best known in their sector covering a wide range of ships such as tankers, cruise liners, bulk carriers, container ships and ferries.

Bob Sanguinetti, CEO of the UK Chamber of Shipping said:
