UK Chamber confirms summer lunch to take place in Scotland
The UK Chamber of Shipping has confirmed its 2020 summer lunch will take place at Mansfield Traquair in Edinburgh on Tuesday 16 June starting at 12.30pm.
Last year’s event saw over 200 people join the Chamber in Edinburgh to celebrate the ongoing success of both the Scottish and wider UK shipping industry. In November the Chamber launched a new report at its Scottish reception which showed the Scottish maritime sector directly supports nearly £10bn in turnover and 41,000 jobs.
A third of the Chambers 200 members are based in Scotland and this year the Chamber will be holding a range of events on the Monday, including the Maritime Tourism Summit. More details on Monday’s activities will follow.
Priya Birk, Head of Events at the Chamber said:
“The summer lunch is one of the highlights of the of the year for the Chamber and we are delighted to be returning to Scotland and the wonderful surroundings of Mansfield Traquair. With the Scottish maritime sector on the rise and now supporting 41,000 jobs, we can’t wait to celebrate its ongoing success on June 16.”
Sponsorship opportunities are now open for the event. If any companies are interested in sponsoring the summer lunch please contact Head of Business Development Tony Jerome.
