Lloyd's Register sponsors President's Reception at the UK Chamber's Annual Dinner
Lloyd's Register has been announced as the sponsor of the President's Reception at the UK Chamber’s 2018 Annual Dinner, which will be attended by His Royal Highness Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge.
Lloyd's Register is a global engineering, technical and business services organisation wholly owned by the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to research and education in science and engineering.
Founded in 1760 as a marine classification society, LR now operates across many industry sectors, with over 9,000 employees based in 78 countries.
The Duke of Cambridge will meet selected UK Chamber members during the President’s reception, before making a speech to all guests at 7.40pm.
Nick Brown, Lloyd’s Register’s Marine and Offshore Director, commented:
“Lloyd’s Register is delighted to support the UK Chamber of Shipping Annual Dinner, an event that provides the perfect platform to network with the key stakeholders within our industry and renew relationships, the lifeblood of our business.”
Guy Platten, CEO of the UK Chamber said:
“I am delighted that Lloyd's Register will be supporting the Annual Dinner. Much like the UK Chamber, Lloyd's Register has a longstanding maritime heritage - its name is synonymous with British shipping. It seems only right that they should be a prominent supporter of our 2018 Annual Dinner.”
Tickets are available for the Annual Dinner, which takes place in London on Monday 5th February. Find out more here.
