Lloyds Register confirmed as new Silver sponsor for Annual Dinner
One of the world’s leading professional services company for technology and engineering companies, Lloyds Register, has been confirmed as one of the Silver sponsors for the UK Chamber of Shipping’s Annual Dinner.
Lloyds Register are the fourth sponsor to be announced after the UK Ship Register, Northern marine and Jotun Paints were all confirmed recently. The Annual Dinner, taking place in February at the London Hilton Park Lane Hotel, will see the Chamber celebrate its centenary of being awarded the Royal Charter.
Commenting on their sponsorship, from Marine and Offshore Director, Lloyd’s Register, Nick Brown said:
“Lloyd’s Register is delighted to continue its support of the UK Chamber of Shipping and its Annual Dinner, an event that provides the perfect platform to network with the key stakeholders within our industry and renew relationships, the lifeblood of our business.”
Starting out in 1760 as a marine classification society, today, Lloyds Register is one of the world’s leading providers of professional services for engineering and technology – improving safety and increasing the performance of critical infrastructures for their clients in over 75 countries worldwide.
The profits they generate fund the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a charity which supports engineering-related research, education and public engagement around everything they do. All of this helps them stand by the purpose that drives them every single day: Working together for a safer world.
Tony Jerome, head of Business Development at the UK Chamber of Shipping welcomed the announcement:
“Lloyds Register are one of the most recognisable names in shipping and maritime and it demonstrates the value of our annual dinner to high such a wonderful sponsor.”
