Committed to a cleaner future, the global shipping industry is undergoing a transformative journey. 'Making Waves: The Future of Shipping', an exclusive new programme produced in collaboration with CWP, shines a spotlight on the efforts already underway and sends a clear call for continued ambitious action in order to decarbonise.

Launched at the International Maritime Organization during London International Shipping Week 2021, the programme charts the sector’s rapid progress in innovation - from alternative fuels to new technologies, and gives voice to those calling for increased regulation in order to deliver a sustainable future.

Presented by Rob Bell, the full programme comprises several short feature films from participants ABS, Artemis Technologies, Bibby Marine, BMT Group, DNV Maritime, EPSRC, HFW, IMO, Lean Marine, Lloyds Register, MarRI-UK, Newcastle University, Norton Rose Fulbright, Quadrise Fuels International, The Sustainable Shipping Initiative, Trafigura, Wärtsilä Marine, Windship Technology, and Windward. These films sit alongside interviews from leading industry experts including John Denholm, UK Chamber of Shipping President; Baroness Brown, Chair, Carbon Trust; Dr. Tristan Smith, Associate Professor at UCL Energy Institute; and Robert Courts MP, Minister for Aviation & Maritime.

'Making Waves: The Future of Shipping' is freely available online now. Through these stories, we hope to shine a spotlight on the efforts already underway and send a clear call for continued ambitious action in order to decarbonise.
