A strong Safety Culture needs to be integrated into a company’s ethos and values, starting with the buy-in from senior management, to help reduce the number of accidents and incidents at sea.

This year’s event will explore what it means to drive a ‘Just Culture’ within an organisation, how visible leadership plays a significant role in creating, and maintaining, a positive Safety Culture and the need for relevant and up to date training to be incorporated into safety related activities.

This two-day Safety Culture Seminar will provide a platform for members to share good practice in safety matters across the industry and promote a productive safety culture for all. Members will be invited to discuss the barriers they face in creating an effective safety culture within their organisations, the successes they have achieved and the next steps they are looking to take.

On the evening of the 23rd September, delegates will be able to enjoy an evening activity which will provide a networking opportunity and a chance to discuss the outcomes of the day.

This event will be open to members of the chamber, and non-members, interested in improving safety overall.

Please forward this invite to your colleagues, particularly senior management, who may be interested in attending.

Speaker and Sponsorship opportunities are available, please contact Priya Birk for more information on this or if you have any questions regarding the event.

Any other questions regarding Safety Culture, please contact Fena Boyle.
