Maritime UK Trade Mission: Shanghai
Maritime UK in partnership with the UK Chamber of Shipping and other member companies alongside the Department for International Trade, has organised a trade mission to Shanghai. The trip will showcase the UK maritime offer to the Chinese
market, and facilitate networking and discussions between UK and
Chinese maritime businesses.
China is looking for UK expertise in marine engineering and manufacturing, shipping, ports and business services to help them realise their ambitious objectives.
The Showcase aims to facilitate business between Chinese and UK maritime organisations and highlight UK capability.
The event has the following proposed programme:
Tuesday 28 March - Venue TBC, Shanghai (Afternoon/Evening)
- Networking between UK and Chinese companies
- Evening reception
Wednesday 29 March - on-board Queen Mary 2 (09.30 - 19.00)
- Travel to port from hotel
- Delegate lunch
- Tour of ship led by David Dingle (Maritime UK Chair)
- Maritime UK seminar: showcasing the sector
- Exhibition of UK maritime companies
- Networking reception
The audience will be comprised of executives and stake holders from across the maritime sectors (shipping, ports, marine and business service) and government officials.
A preferential rate at the Kempinski Hotel, has been organised.
