The Seminar will take place on Thursday 14 November 2024, at Leith Cruise Terminal, Edinburgh, kindly hosted by Forth Ports.

The day will run from 0900-1600 with lunch and refreshments provided

The Seminar will examine recent incidents, discuss accident prevention, and hear from tug experts, insurers, and investigators. With an audience of tug masters, pilots, marine superintendents, P&I clubs, lawyers, workboat crew, harbour masters and others, the aim is to inform, discuss and share best practice.

As is customary, standing invitations to the MAIB and MCA to present have been issued, and the Technical Committee is presently building the programme and agenda. Should members have specific areas they would like considered please contact William Rann, wrann@ukchamberofshipping.com.

All involved in harbour towage and pilotage are strongly encouraged to save the date for this important day. Tug crew and operational staff are particularly encouraged to attend.

Attendance is free for members of the BTA, Chamber, British Ports Association, Port Skills & Safety, UK Maritime Pilots Association, and Workboat Association along with invited guests. Non-members are welcome to join the day for £200.00 ex vat
