Next in the UK Chamber of Shipping's webinar programme will take place on 30th September and is titled 'Getting ready for January 2021 UK immigration changes'. This session will be presented by Natasha Gya Williams.

Natasha will provide an overview of UK immigration changes taking effect 1 January 2021 involving:

  1. Hiring skilled workers, changes to skill/salary levels and streamlining of sponsorship process.
  2. Working rights of EEA/Swiss nationals, including Frontier workers
  3. Right to work checks
  4. Student sponsorship issues
  5. Practical steps on how to prepare for the new immigration system
Natasha Gya Williams, Partner, GyaWilliams

Natasha Gya Williams is an experienced immigration solicitor, based in Bristol. She has worked closely with the Chamber of Shipping on immigration policy issues, including the detailed revision of the Home Office Immigration Guidance in respect of seamen. Natasha currently sits on the Law Society’s Immigration Committee, and recently co-presented with the Home Office on the forthcoming UK immigration changes. Natasha advises extensively on work permission routes, Points Based System sponsorship (for workers and students) as well residence rights for EEA nationals.
