ECSA Survey on the Economic Impact of COVID-19 on the EU shipping industry and the Effectiveness of National and EU Measures
ECSA is launching a survey to ascertain the economic impact of COVID-19 on the European shipping industry as well as the effectiveness of national and EU measures on alleviating this impact.
The survey covers all segments of shipping, and aims to provide information on concrete on-the-ground reality in different countries that they use in their communications with the European institutions, as well as figures they can base themselves on in their advocacy efforts for a maritime-specific rescue and recovery plan.
ECSA fully understand that you are currently pre-occupied with operational and financial difficulties, but completing this survey will help you in the near future, when ECSA has sufficient material to lobby for a coordinated EU-wide effort to aid the shipping industry. Please be assured that all information will be treated on a confidential basis and communicated only in an aggregated manner.
The short survey contains 24 questions and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ECSA-COVID-SURVEY
The deadline for the completion is Friday 24 April 2020, this should allow ECSA to provide the Transport Council, as well as the EP TRAN meeting next week after with some concrete data.
