Paul leads the UK Chamber’s work on maritime safety, supporting members through policy development, regulatory engagement, and the promotion of best practices across the shipping industry.

Paul brings over 30 years of experience in the global maritime sector, with senior roles at INTERCARGO, NYK, ExxonMobil, and the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF). His background includes leading marine safety investigations, developing industry safety standards, and working closely with international regulatory bodies such as the IMO and the European Commission. He has also served as a Director in both industry and consultancy roles, advising on risk, compliance, and operations integrity.
